Il primo elemento che salta agli occhi è la candidatura di due registe Emerald Fennell (Promising Young Woman) e Chloé Zhao (Nomadland) sia nella categoria miglior regia che in quella di miglior film.

Promising Young Woman ha inoltre fruttato una candidatura a Carey Mulligham in miglior attrice protagonista.
